Wedding Preparations...

Hey Everyone,

First of all, thank you so much for all of your lovely comments on my last post! I am so overwhelmed by all the lovely well wishes, it means so much!

Also, I am reassured that you all do want to see more pictures (sorry if you were just being polite, I'm sure your mum told you not to lie, it always leads to bad things) so I am warning you now that the next few posts are going to be very picture heavy!

So, as with all good stories, lets start at the beginning...

On the Thursday before the wedding I said goodbye to the fiance and headed to my mum's with a car loaded up with goodies. My mum decided to give me some beautiful gifts, as she felt the wedding day would be too hectic to do it properly. One of my beautiful gifts was the gorgeous Laura Ashley vase - which is extra special - I'm sure you'll work out why when you see a few more posts...

I filled it with some beautiful roses the fiance had given me for our 6th anniversary a few days before.

Then the next day was MISSION WEDDING. I was up early and at the venue to start decorating! One of my bridesmaids set me up for a long day by making me smile with this little text...

The day before the wedding was hugely stressful. Decorating all the tables and the ceremony room took a lot of time. There were a few panic moments - mostly caused by bad suppliers, and by 3pm I was stressed to the max and almost crying. Luckily, I had booked myself in for afternoon tea and a spa session at the hotel to destress...

By this time, the fiance had arrived with the cake, so I left him to tie up some loose ends, whilst I calmed my nerves...

And enjoyed the view from the restaurant...

And prayed the weather would stay this beautiful...

After four blissful hours of relaxation I was starting to feel excited again! I checked into the honeymoon suite and treated myself to the best bubble bath I have ever had...

A LUSH bubble bar and the hugest roll top bath! It was so huge, I floated the whole time! Then it was off to sleep before the big day!

I woke up to the most beautiful view...

And then the preparations started in earnest. My bridesmaids arrived nice and early, and whilst eating breakfast in the room, the fiance's sister started my hair and make up!

She was so lovely, and worked so hard all morning to make me look beautiful!

The girls kept me nice and calm all morning and the atmosphere was so lovely!

It meant so much to me that they were all there with me on the most important day of my life and they were all so helpful, nothing I asked was too much!

The room soon resembled a bomb site...

Soon the mums and my nieces - our gorgeous flowergirls arrived, and then all hell broke loose.

Meanwhile, the fiance and the boys were preparing next door...

Suddenly, the calm morning had descended into chaos and it was time to put on the dress...

And the veil...

I only just had time to give the bridesmaids their gifts...

The fiance was waiting...

And then it was time...

To be continued...
