I Love Swaps...

Hey Everyone...

On Tuesday, just as I was about to leave to meet The Fiance to celebrate our anniversary, the postman arrived, with some lovely goodies!

What good timing & just before the wedding!

The first was a lovely parcel from Buttonz from Stuff N Bits! This was my parcel in the Diamond Jubilee Swap hosted by both Moonstruck Creations and Crafts @ Home!

Unfortunately, I got a bit mixed up, when I was bit stressed and sent my parcel for Buttonz to the lovely  Emily of Martha & Me instead! Luckily, she was so pleased with the parcel, she suggested she join in too and sent a lovely parcel to Buttonz which you can see here! After all that confusion, the lovely Buttonz still sent me a gorgeous parcel...

Inside were lots of union jack goodies! Napkins, yummy chocolate lollies, pretty ribbon and buttons, a magnetic shopping pad and a beautiful homemade hanging heart which is now hung in my kitchen!

Thank you so much Buttonz!

And at the same time a huge box arrived - at first I thought it was an early wedding present - but once I unwrapped it, I realised it was the travelling craft box organising by lovely Laalaa!

Inside was a special little parcel just for me from the gorgeous Niky at Silver Nik Nats

Inside were a stunning pair of pearl earrings - which I put on immediately and wore for our anniversary date, and two lovely lipglosses - I also immediately put on the DuWop gloss which is amazing and looked so lovely and glittery! Thank you so much Niky!

And so to the craft box - it was so full of amazing, lovely things, it was so hard to choose. In the end I took out these lovely things...

Some gorgeous pink gingham fabric, two bags of pretty pearl beads, a reel of strawberry ribbon, a silver clasp for making a bag, some stitchable stationary, a Cath Kidston style mirror, and a beautifully handmade crochet bag with floral lining - and another lipgloss inside (also not photographed I also took a little red heart hole punch).

I could have taken so much more, it was all so lovely, but I hope the next in line likes the things I have replaced them with!

I will send it on as soon as I return from honeymoon, so it will be delayed a little while! I hope no one minds!

I can't wait to get involved in another swap soon - they really are so lovely - can anyone recommend any!?

My Last Weekend Of Freedom...

Hey Everyone...

Well this weekend was my last weekend as a single lady, well an engaged lady! As The Fiance was working on Saturday in Brighton, I decided to tag along and spend the day there.

I have only been once before with my uni friends, and loved it, so I couldn't wait to go back...

It was lovely to take a leisurely stroll - with nothing to do...

My favourite shop window ever! *Sigh*

The day turned into the sunniest day I can remember all year...

So I sat on the beach and relaxed!

It was surprisingly peaceful...

I even had a quick paddle...

I had to pop into the amazing choocywoccydoodah!

And I stopped at the cafe for an afternoon treat...

It was delicious!

It was a shame we had to head home - but lucky we did as I had caught the sun and had a horrible bright red forearm - yes just one!

Perfect timing for the wedding eh!

Camden Passsage...

Hey Everyone...

After I had had a lovely brunch on the morning after the hen do, and said goodbye to my friends who headed home, I decided to explore Camden Passage....

Many a blogger and friend had told me about this area, but I always seemed to miss it when I was in Angel, but despite it being a Sunday, there was plenty to see...

I at last got to explore the infamous loop!

And found lots of pretty china trios!

And decided I needed to come back to try out this place - the milkshakes looked amazing!

I only stayed for a little while but there was so much to see! I have resolved to go back and explore properly when all the shops are open and I can really take everything in!

Hen Do...

Hey Everyone...

I have so much blogging to catch up and so I have scheduled these posts over the next few days leading up until the wedding and whilst we are away on honeymoon! I hope you don't mind!

I know lots of you commented that you couldn't wait to hear about the hen do - so only three weeks late - here you go!

Unfortunately, there was a last minute change of plan, and my maid of honour decided she no longer wanted to be involved in the wedding. Luckily, my friends and bridesmaids were amazingly supportive and stepped into her role, reorganising the hen do and making it a very special day!

It started with an impromptu sleep over, with two of my uni friends coming to stay on the Friday night! We went old school, and ate Ben & Jerry's whilst watching a movie and catching up!

Then on Saturday it started in earnest! We all met at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane for a spa morning! It was so lovely and relaxing, sauna, steam room, a massage and a facial all accompanied by a glass of bubbly!

Some of the girls after the spa!

Next it was onto the Corus Hotel Hyde Park - for a delicious afternoon tea! When it came out I was worried there wasn't enough - but no one managed to finish it all!

Delicious!

All the girls enjoying tea!

Then it time for a night on the town - with a Moulin Rouge theme - be warned these pictures are scary!

We had a three course dinner, accompanied by a game of Mr & Mrs (I got 5 right and 4 wrong!) and then a list of dares...

All of which I completed with some help from my hens!

It was a fantastic night, I only wish I could do it all over again!

The next day, we finished off the weekend with a very sophisticated brunch at a lovely place in Clerkenwell called The Modern Pantry...

It really meant so much to me that all my friends made such an effort to come! The most important thing was seeing them all - and I can't wait to see them all at the wedding in just 3 days time! Eeee!

A Weekend Away...

Hey Everyone...

I hope you're all having a fantastic week! I wanted to say a huge thank you for the lovely well wishers on my last blog - the wedding is just 4 days away now, and the nerves are really sinking in. But today I wanted to blog about a lovely weekend away we had at the end of April to get away from all the wedding stress!

We found an amazing deal online and spent the weekend in a lovely hotel in Derby...

We decided to take the opportunity to visit the beautiful York...

So many people had told me I would love York, but I had never had the chance to visit!

Boy were they right! I loved the architecture...

All the pretty windy streets...

And most of all the amazing and delicious Betty's Tea Room!

It was well worth the queue...

We will have to go back again for a full afternoon tea!

Included in our package were tickets to Chatsworth House - another place I have always wanted to visit!

Ever since reading lots of Phillipa Gregory books I have longed to see this beautiful house!

And boy was it stunning!

We popped into Bakewell as well - to try their infamous tart! Unfortunately the weather was awful and so I didn't get to look around all the beautiful little shops!

While we were in York, The Fiance suggested we stop in M&S to look for an illusive cookie jar I had been after! And guess what! They had it!

Now I have a collection of two!

And I did get one little souvenir from Bakewell - a little Love heart - just in time for the wedding!

It was a short but sweet weekend, and lovely to get away, just the two of us, despite the non-stop rain!

And today is a very special day - no not 4 days before the wedding (although that is true). It is our 6th anniversary! We have been together 6 whole years and in a few days time, we will be promising the rest of our lives to each other - exciting!

We are off for a little lunch time treat, before recreating our first date tonight, with dinner and then drinks at a bowling alley - we were all class!

Have a lovely day!
