Animal Party...
Hey Everyone...
Thank you so much for all the lovely supportive comments on my last post! It really means a lot to me and I am trying to look on the bright side of things...
I have had a very relaxing day, with a lie in, lots of crafting and a relaxing bath - shame I messed up painting my nails as I put on a face mask and they hadn't dried when I tried to take it off! Not sure I can be bothered to start again though!
Anyway, I wanted to get back to what I meant to blog about yesterday which was my night out last Saturday! Now I very rarely go on nights out. Since university it just hasn't been my thing anymore! However, on Saturday I had a fabulous night!
I went with some lovely friends to 'The Last Tuesday Society's' Animal Party! It was held in the Old Vic Tunnels near Waterloo which, if you have ever visited, you will know are covered in amazing graffiti.
The party was in aid of pygmy hippos and the proceeds when to ZSL (Zoological Society London) So it was for a great cause.
We all made a huge effort to dress up! I was planning to make a butterfly costume, but after my attempts went badly and I started to have a melt down, I opted for a easier but cuter panda costume!
We didn't get there til gone 11pm (I'm usually in bed by 10pm at the latest) and we didn't get home until gone 2.30am! I was very proud of myself!
The party was amazing, some of the entertainment included - live band, DJs only playing songs with animals in the title, a bucking bronco, a ball pit, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, candy floss, vegetable carving, cages and elevated dance floor, hot tubs (or mud pit as it was called) and real life reptiles and insects that you could hold!
I think all this amazing stuff (and more) meant that I didn't get bored (like I can do on a night out) and instead had an amazing time!
And it was all set in the underground tunnels, which were slightly creepy yet very cool! Anyway I will let the picture do the rest of the talking...

We had a parrot, two leopards, a zebra, a kangaroo and a panda! |
I fell in love with this chameleon! |
My mission for the evening was to be 'undercover panda' or as I said it at one point 'Anaconda panda' and get into the back of everyone's photographs.
I had such a great time! I would thoroughly recommend keeping an eye out for their events as apparently they are always on such an amazing scale!
Well...
Happy weekend everybody! I am off to the Stitch & Craft show at Olympia tomorrow with a friend, and then round to mum's on Sunday!
Love Jewel xXx
What a fab night, you make a cute Panda :) Glad you are feeling happier today x
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun evening Juli. Your costume is very cute. I don`t think I would be as brave as you to hold the animals.
