Gigging...
Hey Everyone...
I still have lots to blog about from my staycation but I'm taking it slowly. Today I wanted to show you some pictures I took at the fiance's second ever gig. Back in the beginning of July the fiance performed his first gig (apart from open mic nights at the local pub) at The Horn in St.Albans, to get some more attention for his writing and producing.
It was a great success and lots of family and friends came along to support him. Last Wednesday he decided to give it another go. This time was even better, as he was far less nervous and had some snazzy new technology to help him with a tricky live looped number (similar to KT Tunstall).
This time a few random listeners were also there as well as some fans of the other band who were playing. He went down really well and the new organiser has asked him back for an acoustic night. However, the fiance is after a special support slot, supporting Mark Morris of The Bluetones - one of his favourite bands - who is doing a solo spot. So fingers crossed!
I'll leave you with some of the pictures I took...

He's also entered into the Pizza Express 'Big Audition' competition and hoping to be in the final 50 who will play for the chance to win a gig at the legendary jazz club in London and £5000 towards kick-starting his career! So I've got my fingers crossed!

You must be very proud! My nephew who is 13 is learning to play the guitar and goes to gigs as his guitar teacher is in a band. They have to start somewhere. I hope the gigs go well.
ReplyDeleteWow, how cool is that!! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed so he wins the competition. :)
